How to broadcast on ICEcast servers using EDcast DSP Plugin
and Winamp from your computer?
Edcast is a plugin for both Winamp and Foobar2000 that provides the ability to broadcast various audio formats to a few of the major broadcasting servers. Step 1 - Download Edcast application and MP3 lame extension. Edcast is an application that can encode your audio into various formats (MP3, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, and so on) and sends it to our Icecast server cluster for further distribution. Edcast is no longer officially available online, but we have saved a copy of the last version released here.
1. If you don't have already Winamp installed on your computer, download it from Winamp site.
2. Download the EDcast plug-in for Winamp from here.
3. Install Winamp (if is not installed already on your computer) and when the installation is done close the program, if you have it already installed make sure Winamp is not running.

4. Double-click the installer file you have downloaded for EDcast, and follow the onscreen instructions to install.
IMPORTANT: If the installer ask you to install some other encoders or files, please do it.

8. That will open the EDcast configuration screen:

15. Once you have the Edcast Radio DSP plug-in setup and properly configured, click ok to return to the main EDCast plugin screen

16. Select the encoder you have configured and click 'connect', if all is configured correctly it will broadcast whatever is currently playing on Winamp on your internet radio station in real time!
